Hello and welcome. My name is Cristina Rodrigues. I grew up in a small village surrounded by countryside until I was ten, when we moved to the bustling city of Lagos, which I consider my hometown.
I always knew that I wanted to live in the countryside again, to be in nature, surrounded by the forest, listening to the birds singing and the water running.
My dream came true when I moved to Monchique in 2020. I have come to know and love the community, both local and foreign. It's a wonderful feeling of belonging, security and well-being.
Coming from a tourist background where there is a lot of demand, I was shocked by the low volume of tourists in Monchique - a magnificent place to visit. Last year I worked as a transfer driver and not a single person came to Monchique.
Based on these observations and in order to put the skills I have acquired to good use, I am offering my services to help the community of Monchique and surroundings be found on the map and chosen by more people, bringing with it more prosperity to small local businesses - with balance and well-being for all involved.
About Me
I am a resilient, proactive, creative, generally optimistic, focused, determined person with a clear vision to contribute to building a better world in which we can live by principles such as kindness, peace, cooperation, mutual help, joy, love, truth, consideration, respect and much more!
I love nature, animals (I have a pack of 6 dogs), driving (I've driven through 12 countries in Europe), travelling, music, dancing, reading, learning, gardening, building and much more!
With a ‘I can do it’ mentality, a healthy dose of perfectionism and unwavering persistence, I always give my best in everything I do!
